Meeting the unsayable

The world is run by miracles. The ‘preposterous’ is the hidden juju in the middle of all things.

It is the heart-engine of reality spewing fumes of the ordinary, so that we tend to forget that the ‘familiar’ is really the ‘strange’ in disguise. Next time you sit at a meal, or fall to an engaging storybook, or rise to greet an eager day, or receive the news of the passing of a loved one, it might do you well to remember that what you know to be true is a blind spot, a symbiotic convenience, an exception to the silent rule that is the unfathomable.
