Queer lessons with my daughter [1]

If you meet a monster on your road, do not try to plunge your sword into her. You will not win. Instead, bury your sword. Break it in two. Toss it away. Go unprepared.

The monster, she will vanish. And you would have transcended victory or defeat, the terrifying or the benign. But more astonishingly, you will notice, in the monster’s place, a broader way where there only was a narrow path; and, in the shimmering distance, a more familiar voice urging you to make the acquaintance of your many selves, tucked away in the impossible.
